Sweet Sticky Rice - Shola-e Zard Shireen By Nooria
Shola-e Shireen (Shola-e Zard) or Sweet Sticky Rice is a popular Afghan dish cooked during the month of Muharram. Its usually cooked in Yellow or Orange color and shared among friends and family. You can serve it with tea or with breakfast.
Ingredients:
Sticky Rice - 1/2 Kg
Sugar - 400G
Almonds - 200G
Pistachios - 100G
Cardamom Powder - As needed
Red rose water - 1.5 Tbsp
Yellow food coloring - 2 Tsp
Canola Oil - 3 Tbsp
